    DIY Media Centre

This is a page for independent (indie) musicians and other artists who want to get noticed. This page will help explain to you how to do this, but it won't do it for you. This site WILL provide expert tips to help you create your own media campaign for upcoming CD releases and gigs. Feel free to follow any of the steps on the list to your right. Yay for DIY!

First, every artist needs a press kit to help promote themselves, let's get started...

How To:

1. Put Together a Press Kit
2. Create a Contact List
3. Take A Decent Press Photo
4. Write a Great Press Release
5. Create a Basic Website
6. Write an Interesting Biography
7. Record A Demo CD

If you can think of anything else I should add here, or anywhere in my site, please drop me a line! Also, if you think you need "professional help", a professional publicist helped me put all of this together, her name is Rachel Hauraney, and she can be reached through email here.

Please note: This page is called "D.I.Y. Media CentRE" as opposed to "D.I.Y. Media CentER" because I am Canadian, and that's how WE spell it, but in the interest of receiving seach engine traffic, I have changed the spelling back and forth throughout the pages. Feel free to complain if you don't like it, or point out any other spelling mistakes, as I am sure there are many. Thank you for visiting. BUY MY CD!
